Summary
Kai Tak Sports Park stadium was designed as a flexible venue capable of hosting international sporting events, concerts, and large-scale entertainment. To support this flexibility, sections of stadium seating were designed to pivot and reconfigure, allowing rapid transformation of the venue layout.

The pivoting seating mechanisms form a key part of this functionality, enabling large sections of the south stand seating structure to rotate safely and reliably while maintaining structural integrity and operational safety.

Daniel led the engineering development and delivery of these pivoting seating systems, working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure the mechanisms were robust, reliable, and suitable for long-term operation within a major public venue.

The role involved coordination of engineering activities through design development, testing, and on-site installation support, helping ensure the seating systems operated safely and efficiently within the complex stadium structure.
